One man band, percussion, Dancing Man

Hello All

So I've been tracking my listing trying to find out which words lead visitors to my site. I cam e across some unthought of phrases...for example...Dancing man Fayettvile...lol. Not sure if they wanted a steel drummer. I've been known to dance while i play but i wouldn't consider myself a " Dancing man"...lol.

Another popular one is percussion. The steel drum is definitely a percussive instrument, but the surfers were really looking for drum lesson. I plan to offer private steel drum lesson, but I cureently dont' have an extra drum to teach on. if the student has their own, however, I'd be more than happy to teach.

One man band has been seen alot to. Makes sense, I'm a one man band as well.

His Eye is on the Sparrow

Hi

I played "His Eye Is on The Sparrow"on steel drum in church this morning. I love my church. The teachings are informative and uplifting. Its a small church and there are always opporunities for the members to get involved. I'm looking forward to hopping back on keyboards too. My role would be as an additional keyboardist so that we will have two keyboards creating a full band sound. The improvising and jamming is what really adds to the service. exciting times ahead at the Faith Center. Montana Ave Charlotte NC 28202.

AIDS walk

Hi There,

Today I got to participate in an AIDS walk fundraiser. The weather was beautiful and the participants were happy to have live music on site.

I conducted the Belmont steel drum band as they entertained the volunteers and walkers. The band is made up of youngster between 7-14. A great group of eager kids. I wish that I can spend more time with them to help improve their performance and repertoire. Hopefully, there will be more opportunities to get involved with their musical development.

They aren't lost

Hi There

I've observed behavior and actions of children that have caused me to falsely assume that our kids are lost. That notion was reversed today when I played steel drums at an assembly for Honorsstudents at Bishop Spaugh Middle School in Charlotte NC. I was happy to see that the kids were attentive and respectful towards the music that I shared with them. In addition to being a great audience, the kids were there to celebrate their academic achievement and perfect attendance. Hats off to them and all those that have supported them in their endeavors, for someone has influenced their decision to strive for success. There were a few students that played instruments and I hope that my performance helped them realize the value of the arts and that they too can use their musical gifts to brighten someone elses day.
